Orthopaedic Political Action Committee
On May 17, 2001 the Executive Committee passed a motion in favor of creating the Florida Orthopaedic Political Action Committee (FOPAC). The Committee strongly believes that the creation of FOPAC is an integral part of our legislative and regulatory agenda. FOPAC will provide a vehicle for our organization to identify candidates for public office who understand and support our agenda. The creation of this organization will also provide a medium for which to inform physicians about legislative and political actions that affect the practice of orthopedics in the state of Florida.
J. Dean Cole, M.D., was appointed by the Executive Committee to lay the appropriate
foundations of the organization. It is paramount that FOPAC receive support
from the members of the Florida Orthopaedic Society and other entities who
support our initiatives. There will be a voluntary line item on the FOS membership
dues for contributions to FOPAC.. Please consider making an additional initial
contribution to help fund its creation. If you would like to offer your support
or make an initial contribution, please contact:
